Niewz — Privacy Policy

Niewz is an RSS reader for iPhone, iPad and Mac. It is built to collect nothing about you.

What we collect

Nothing. Niewz has no account with us, no analytics, no advertising and no tracking. We never receive your feeds, your reading, your settings or your device's identifiers.

What stays on your device

Your feeds, folders, articles, read and starred states and settings are stored on your device. Passwords and tokens for the services you sign in to are kept in your device's Keychain.

Who Niewz connects to

Only:

the websites and feeds you add, to download their articles, images and icons, the pages you follow without a feed (read on your device), and the web pages you open. To show an article's full text, Niewz loads that article's web page, as a browser would. Nothing is sent to us;
the services you choose to sign in to: FreshRSS, Miniflux or NewsBlur (to sync your subscriptions) and Instapaper, Readwise Reader or Raindrop.io (to save articles). Their own privacy policies apply to what you send them;
Apple, for the App Store purchase of Niewz Unlimited. We don't receive your payment details.

Feedback

If you choose to write to us from Settings, the email you send contains your words, your Niewz version and build, your device model and your system version. It leaves your device only when you send it, from your own Mail app.

Widgets and notifications

They work on your device with the articles already downloaded; a widget may load an article's picture from the website that published it. Notifications are off until you turn them on for a feed.

Children

Niewz collects no data from anyone, children included.

Changes

If this policy changes, the new version will be published at this address with a new date.

This website

niewz.com sets no cookies, uses no analytics and loads nothing from other websites. It remembers your theme, accent color and language in your browser’s local storage, on your device only.
